A website and application for PCs to log every software you are running and award you points for it.
I used to have this application for a short period of time in the mid- to late 2000s. It logged everything you ran on your PC, sent the data to a website and gave you points based on how many applications you ran and for how long you have run them.
The website also had some kind of leaderboards to rank the most popular software and probably also who had racked up the most hours in each. It was a similar concept to smartphone battery logging which also ranks up apps that have been running the longest.
However the site didn't log laptop battery usage if I recall correctly. Back then it seemed like a fun way to compete with friends on how hardcore "nerd" you were. Now that I think of it, the idea is extremely suspicious and probably would never work in today's perception of privacy.
