New... help with the acronyms and abbreviations?!

I'm new here, thanks for having me :) This subject is really relevant to my life, I cut my mother out of my life 7 years ago and blocked her on every front..... we had a brutal, horrifying relationship, I even tried to take my own life several times because of years of mental abuse and manipulation..... it's a lot, I won't go into it... yet.... but I hope to be able to articulate it soon and share

For now.... I'm new to reddit itself and I'm reallly, really lost with all the acronyms and abbreviations?

Eg 'I'm NC' and 'my FNMIL' etc.... can anyone maybe break down a few of them for me? It would really help, I'm floundering a bit trying to understand the posts...... really appreciate any help, cheers!
