How much does CPU clock speed matters while gaming?

I own a MSI GF65 laptop i5 10500H(6C 12T), 1660ti(80W). I was benchmarking Far Cry 5 using different CPU Clock speeds. I was surprised to see the results. The FPS are almost same while the CPU temperature was shockingly different. The only time they were low was when I disabled turbo or set CPU clock speed at base clock(2.5ghz). Here are the maximum temperatures:

Tested at high settings

at 3.5 GHZ Clock Speed: 75C

at 4 GHZ Clock Speed: 90C

at 4.2 GHZ Clock Speed: 97C
