All save files erased on Snes9x EX+. Alternatives?

I'm using Dig to play Snes games through Snes9x Ex+ (from play store). It's erased all my saves twice now. I don't use save states. What's going on here?

What alternative should I use? Either a core in Retroarch (there are so many) or through play store. Using an 845.
