I'm a 3rd year and have always been told to have only what's on the tool list and that it's the contractors job to provide everything else.

I ask because I asked my foreman for some tin snips. He asked why I didn't have them and I said that it was because it wasn't on the tool list. He then asked me if I wanted to be a company man or Hall trash. He said that when people get to complaining about stuff like this they are the first to go.

Answers and thoughts would be appreciated.

I carry stuff that’s not on the tool list. Socket Set(Company has some but I have mine in case i forget to grab theirs) Rotosplit for MC, Crimpers, and Allen wrenches. It’s mainly stuff that will make my life easier really like if I go start on a project and some fuck head lost a bolt to the pecker head and put a bolt of a different size in then I don’t have to walk clear across the building again just to grab the correct socket. As for the Rotosplit you could just cut the armor with you dikes and twist and be fine but I just like the cleaner cut of the Rotosplit. We don’t run enough MC for the company to justify buying some but I justified it to myself and I’m able to strip the armor off a little quicker than the JWs on my sight and I’m talking just by a few seconds not much
