Should I get a 2018 Chevy Colorado?

Question

I’ve always been a guy who drives cars but last few years I’ve wanted a truck bad. My dad had them my whole life and I’m not that into driving bigger vehicles but I’m gunna try out a used 2018 Chevy Colorado. It’s 30k with 24k miles. I have a 2017 Nissan Altima with 23k miles on it and they offered 16,500 for the Nissan as a trade in. I don’t have a lot of money or make a lot of money and my Nissan is fully paid off but I could maybe get a monthly payment of 225 which isn’t too bad. It would make money much tighter for me but I think it’d be good for me overall. Bias aside what do you all think? I’ve always felt like a more redneck type and a guy who mounts flags on the truck. I’m pretty low on funds but happiest I’ve been and finally figuring out who I am. Should I save my money and pass and never get a good offer for car this high or go for it and work harder to provide for what I want. I have no debt in life except student loans. Thanks.

Don’t go into debt for a car. You got a car that works? Keep it. Pay off your student loans, get a little more established and buy whatever car you want when you can really afford it

You have a great newer, low mileage car and are tight on funds. Now is not the time to go into more debt. Pay off the student loans first. Then get the car you want.

If you take that deal, you're getting took. 30K is way too much for a 2018. I paid 33K for my 2018 brand new and they gave me 15K for my 2014 Subaru with 80K on it. Your car is only 1 year older than that truck and has less miles. Keep the paid off car. If you really want a truck, buy an old Ranger as a 2nd vehicle.

Trucks are currently selling at premium prices ----- that's actually a really really good price for that year and mileage.
