What am I supposed to look for/learn from this PLA+ temperature tower test print? (seems like it doesn't make a huge difference)

Looks like you didn’t really need to calibrate, however; you may want to check up your slicing post processing g.code script to see if it did do the step increment for increasing temp at certain later heights

Yeah, I was monitoring the temperatures as it printed and the temperature steps are in there. I was expecting a larger impact!

I usually have the opposite luck 🤣🥲

Follow up here, I think I get the importance of it now.

Which part of the tower looks sliiiiiighly sexier than the rest. There’s your temp.

That's what you learnt. 😊 The main reason for this is because you are using PLA+ and it is quite forgiving at most temperatures above 185°C. If you were using PETG, you'd get a very different tower.

I had been expecting a more significant difference!

I think you might have a really good quality filament. What brand is it out of curiosity?

3DFillies in Melbourne, Australia

Go Demons!

Good to know. I get Cybridge, they are Melbourne based too. Go the Morons! 😂

I got the same stuff and had no differences in my temp tower as well

Maybe you should do durability test. There's a chance that layers printed in lower temperatures are holding together worse than layers printed in higher temperatures.

I use pla+ too and sometimes you get very little difference but it's worth doing with each filament because not each on is the same. I've had some that work at 190-220 and others that look a bag of crap at anything over 195

You can make a single wall cube temp tower and test with your hands what temp gives the best strenght

Or dont do anything lol

Spotted the "what the fuck is this print, it looks like a dog took a shit on my print bed, what damned temp should I be using?" maker. :-D

Nope, but none of my printers have ever printed THAT nice. Been printing since 2014, but never used an ender
