Was contemplating doing a one-shot with some friends to see if they would be interested in a more long-term campaign. So any information sources or previous attempts would be appreciated.

Are you just using the races, or are you also using the WW2-ish setting?
Just curious.
Assuming the one-shot goes well, I'll look into adapting some basic firearms for use in the EaW setting proper. The one-shot will be vaguely related to the original Black Crusade that the Dread League had did around 100ALB I think.
I know there's some basic ones that critical role uses for their firearms, I might look into how extensive that is.
But to directly answer your question, just the races for now with some usage of the Kingdom of Vedina region and the surrounding territory.

That sounds pretty epic. What do you use for the ancient beings?
I know Maar would work in Griffonia, maybe some DL corruptive stuff too. Not sure what Zebrica would have though.
The nice thing about Dnd is that the system is general enough that you can easily adapt it to your setting. As such, there’s probably an un-official source book out there if you look hard enough. I know there was one for pathfinder, but I don’t think you could translate that directly to dnd 5e, the two games are similar in concept but diverge at some pretty important points.
If nothing else, look up the pathfinder version for inspiration.

Ponyfinder, the pathfinder one, actually made 5e rules as well. Their books usually contain the rules from both systems (and in pathfinders case, rules for both editions, some of their books even have Starfinder rules). For the core ponyfinder rulebook you want to get the unified edition, the first version was only pathfinder 1e, unified has 5e as well.
