Unfortunately, I'm not too surprised.

While MSR's struggles this season can't be blamed solely on 1 person, Pla's made a number of mistakes on track this season. I know he was new to some of the tracks they raced at this season (didn't realize he'd been to so few) but I was kind of shocked to see him run like he has. Long Beach was just cringe worthy (& he'd had an issue in the 1st practice that caused them to lose most of the time available during 2nd practice).

I have mixed feelings about this. Look forward to the idea of Helio back in a sportscar but am still a little disappointed with Pla possibly be done. I like the guy & hate seeing anyone be released from a ride before the season ends regardless of the reason.

This is my view too. I was excited to see Pla in prototypes for a full season.

All around just a tough season. The car has had speed at times and luck at times, just never simultaneously.

Castroneves will likely do the IMSA endurance races next year with Meyer Shank

Also, he's had a good relationship with Acura for a long time. I imagine they'd like to have him.

Maybe 1 MSR INDYCAR guy will run for MSR & 1 for WTR at Daytona (unless Allmendinger's back).

Allmendinger vows to always be with Shank so probably.

Think hes only missed one Daytona 24 with Shank in like 15 years lol
