I love watching my kids play sports, but this was easily the worst basketball game I’ve ever seen in my life. It might be the worst basketball game ever played.
Edit: For those wondering final score was 6-5 with my kid’s team losing at home.
At home? These kids travel?!
At home being their school basketball gym, I'm assuming. When they verse another school they could play at that school's gym, on average exactly half of games are home and exactly half are away.
That could be a really busy area, and there's like a ton of associations or schools and they just go from schook to school

I can hear the parents yelling from here.
After the first half, almost all the parents were pretty quiet. I think we all knew we were witnessing something special.
Hahah
Were they trying to kick it in?
Fkn ballers
This is hilarious. Sorry not sorry.
With each sure fire easy basket there were audible groans from the crowd.
Sounds both infuriating and funny at the same time. You have to laugh...
Idk why but my brain just won’t get past there are only 5s on the left and 4 on the right. 2+2 is 4, 4th quarter, and the score of 4. I must be tired
I don't get it and it hurts to look at.
A defensive battle for the ages.
As a father of two, kids sports are painful to watch.
This is typical of kids basketball. My eleven year old’s team usually scores between fifteen and thirty points.
That’s actually around the points they score. However I’ve never seen either team score less than ten points. And usually when one team can’t score points the other team did. In this game neither team had a player score more than two points with both teams having three scorers each. As in many low scoring games turnovers were a huge issue for both teams. Many passes were thrown out of bounds, and a defender on the opposing team took a pass to the face when he wasn’t paying attention. Double dribbling, traveling, up & down, and constant 3 second lane violations, they were all there killing scoring opportunities.

Defences on top.
I think it's time to lower the basket
I don’t know much about basketball, is this a good or bad score?
This is almost an impossibly low score. When I took this picture each team had made 2 field goals and my son’s team had made an additional 1 free throw. For some context this was 9 year olds playing 6 minute quarters. Typically the score for these games is in the mid 20s to low 30s. The ineptitude of play was straight up comical in this game.
That sucks, hopefully just a bad day for the team.
The best part was that the kids on both teams continued to play their hearts out till the final whistle. Both teams were completely oblivious to how bad they collectively played.
:( Poor kids.
Maybe the score was so low because both teams were playing the historically great defense. Just a bunch of 9 year old Bill Russells and Dikembe Mutombos
Thats awesome lol.
Strange though, it seemed like even in my very small town region, there was always superstars among us. Kids that played at an entirely different level than the rest of the kids, and it was only a question of how many of these kids were on the opposing teams.
Occasionally we would go up against big city teams and get absolutely decimated since they had entire lines of these kids.
