What's the deal with the awful sound quality over most of TI this year?

Complaint

Multi-million dollar tournament and they can't even work out how to mic people up without excessive background noise / drop outs / god-awful acoustics / phasing issues?

I notice this as well. This TI seems to have overall pretty poor production. I suspect it was because of the last ditch effort after Sweden fell through. You get stuck with poor quality Romanian internet and less then spectacular production.

Any half-decent events company should be able to provide good sound quality with the budget at hand. It's not difficult...

It’s not even about budget, there’s plenty of free/cheap alternatives to audio equipment

I mean it is about budget tbf. You need to employ the right professionals with the right equipment. Audio equipment is very much a case of 'you get what you pay for', especially so with complex networked audio such as they'd have at TI. They clearly just didn't employ the right people 🤷

Yeah you’re probably right, it matters less about the equipment and more about who’s using it

Russian casters are talking over English casters on the English broadcast in-game :(

Riot, Tencent, Moontoon produce 1000% better than PGL and valve.
