Drats, you got me!

Try to keep to wallet staking, rather than through an exchange. Exodus and atomic have decent rates and so do some native wallets.

I am about to start staking USDC on Celsius, seems to be a solid investment.

Depending on amount you have on Celsius things to be aware of, once your coins hit Celsius they are moved into a pool of coins, they are not individually held on the address you see in your wallet, much like an exchange, your balance shown in the app is only indicative of what you ‘own’, the %’s they show are your rewards are for lending out your coins not actually staking per sè, withdrawals over $150k USD take ages to process so spilt it into multiple smaller withdrawals below that amount if applicable.

All that said I hold about 20% of my portfolio with them and they are a solid company, customer service can be slow at times.

Good to know, it's only an addition to my existing portfolio.

https://omm.finance was offering 100% APY on iUSDC (Icon chain version of USDC bridged over via Orbit Bridge). That's 100% with self custody/no lockup too 👌

100%? That seems way too good to be true..

NorskKiwi•

Yeah for sure, it's only that high to incentivise use. It was fluctuating between 15-25% beforehand, and is already almost back there now.

What's the APR for USDC on Celsius?

What are you trying to stake? Depends on the crypto to be honest. I've got 3 cryptos and they are staking on 3 diefferent wallets.

Not really sure - that's why I'm interested in hearing anyone's experience so I can get my feet wet. Was leaning towards eth2 on celsius

I'm no help with eth, as I don't hold it. But staking in general, personally I would prefer staking via wallet instead of exchange like binance. Heard horror stories where exchanges can freeze or lock access to your account along with your funds. Exchanges I'd use for buying and selling only, that's it.

celsius

Celsius has built a good reputation over the years since its inception, I will suggest you also look into other terrains like Tezos as the CryptoLife app comes on board. It allows holders to stake and also get access to interest-free lending powered by baanx.

The first coin I staked was ALGO. They have a really nice wallet set up, easy/cheap transfer, and automatic staking with live updates on your rewards.

Not as high returns as some projects but it's a solid coin and good place to get your feet wet if you're new to staking

I only use binance, reputable and gives good returns depending on their promotions

Some coins have staking built into the protocol such as ADA around 5% and ONE around 10%. I would stick to those types of coins as the risk is lower.

I’m mostly a wallet staker but I have a few coins on Celsius and Binance, including the ETH thing. For me the risk seems mostly on the same order as general crypto risk so not super sensitive to it.

Hey everyone. I helped decentralise the ICON network and am a node validator.

Considering staking ICX and have questions about Icon & the ecosystem, I'd be happy to help!?

https://Iconrepublic.org is a great starting information hub too.

I'm staking Icon ecosystem tokens ie ICX, BALN and OMM. BALN/OMM are governance tokens from DeFi dapps https://balanced.network and https://omm.finance. By staking them I share in those dapps fees.

Algo is nice for staking. And dot but it’s just had a pump.

Hi, your post is not directly related to bitcoin, submissions that are mostly about a cryptocurrency belong elsewhere. For example, r/CryptoCurrency (or even r/CryptocurrencyNZ) is a good place to discuss alternative crypto projects.

Whatever you do don't go for the ones that require a lock in period. I was staking in Binance stable coin BUSD but happily exchanged it for BTC a couple weeks ago.
