First time in clipless pedal stories
My friend is new to cycling and just got some clipless pedals. You can probably imagine where this is going.... She totally ate shit and feels really embarassed.
So to show her it happens to basically everyone and for the laughs, what's your first time in clipless pedal story?
I'll go first. I was at a bike store getting getting shoes and my pedals swapped. They were helping me adjust my bike and teaching me how to get in and out. I did a few laps around the parking lot and thought I was good to go. Since I live about 4 miles from the shop, I biked there and was planning on biking back. So I paid the shop, clipped in, and made it all of about 20 feet to the edge of the parking lot before immediately forgetting to clip out and face planting in front of everyone who was helping me for the last 20 minutes.... To make it worse I fell into a tree, badly hurt my shoulder, and sliced my calf with the chain ring. I had to leave my bike at the shop for them to sort out my derailer and wait for another 15 minutes in shame as my partner drove into pick me up.
