mtagmannhe/him | Love God by loving people through MT25:31-46 | ancomish•

Love this so much, thank you for sharing. This reminded me of another post that I saw here or on twitter or something, let me dig it up...here we go:

"I read somewhere that God made trans people for the same reason They made wheat but not bread and grapes but not wine - 'so that humanity might share in the act of creation.' [The author of the post / book] called it 'the divine alchemy of the self.' I think it's a beautiful perspective." from this tweet by ThatBoyYouLike on Aug 25, 2020

(Looks like there might be a couple sources that are crossing streams here! Here's a tweet with both of the people sharing the idea linked.)

Ever since reading this, I have started to see God in this sort of very positive stance when looking at any human that treats other humans well - we all take part in some amount of self-creation, and as a being beyond mortal comprehension^([1]) honestly wouldn't probably be too caught up in how we shape our limited 3.5D (three of space, only forward in time) existence, especially given the concept of an eternal heaven where our ~70 years look like a grain of sand in the desert.

[1] According to Dr. Hugh Ross an agnostic-astrophysicist who became a Christian after reading a whole bunch of scriptures and finding that the Bible's creation account is scientifically accurate when viewed from the standpoint of an incarnational God standing on a fixed point on earth throughout the account (link to a talk/sermon on that here). His book Beyond the Cosmos (or, now, it looks like it's been updated to a 4th edition - The Creator and the Cosmos - time for a re-read!) talks about string theory's supposition that the universe has 20 dimensions of space and 1 of time and that a Creator-God would potentially be sitting outside of all of them on a 21st dimension of space and a 2nd of time. Mind-bending and incredible.

As it is for all people.

“There is not free nor slave, not greek nor jew, not man nor woman in Christ Jesus.”

I really wish more fellow Christians really understood the radical power of this phrase/passage. And how integral it is to the call that Jesus gives us to 'love one another; did I stutter'.

I thought this post didn't get any replies since I didn't recieve any notifications from it. Glad I checked!

When I saw your meme I immediately thought of this subreddit and community since it seemed like such a wholesome take.
