She looks so different omg her initial profile pic looked so derpy and now... the glow-up
She's so freaking underrated tbh. I wish MNET didn't pick Wannabe as their demo stage..
I voted for the cell with her and Nagomi at the beginning, was sad to see them go. I hope she keeps up the good work!
WOAH THATS WINGCHI?-
When I first saw her during the show she seemed so cute but dangggg she looks different in this concept
Haven’t heard of Echo Entertainment before but glad to see Wing Chi!! I liked her in Fiesta1!!
Echo Entertainment is based in Hong Kong. The main scene of the music entertainment industry is mostly underground DJ/indie bands and dance (I can be very wrong, because we really don't have much of a music entertainment industry, it's very niche). And doing kpop covers is a big thing in HK
I’m not trying to hate or anything but they couldn’t pick another cover to introduce her? Chaeryoung already killed this performance so now it’ll just be a comparison game. Unless that’s what the company was going for?
Lol I can’t believe I got so many dislikes for speaking the truth! Poon Wing Chi is super talented…however ITZY’s Chaeryoung already nailed the performance! Now they have Wing Chi/Gigi “covering” the performance when it’s literally the EXACT same thing Chaeryoung did (same outfit, same scenery, same choreo, same everything).
There are other performances she can actually cover that doesn’t involve repeating the same exact performance, that way it’s show off her talent as her—as HER debut (and be unfairly compared to Chaeryoung)
Think about it :/
From what I've found from her company, it seems like their primary focus is on kpop dance covers. I can't find that much about them, but it definitely seems more like a production company than anything else.
True, HK doesn't have much of a music entertainment industry and the local music scene is very niche. Though I'd say recently it's growing, though more on indie/band/DJ rather than pop/dance, but we do recently have a boy group that has reached peak popularity, probably the 1st time since the 90s a local artist is doing very well among the HK youths as it's mostly been kpop that's generally more popular. Hopefully Gigi will soon get caught into this growing industry and thrive well in it
I'd be glad to see it as well! She's very talented
Looks like she's doing a cover of Itzy Chaeryeong's dance on Studio Choom. The first video on the channel, happy to see her company seems to be interested in promoting her!
