I found a work around on the Scan Glitch on PS4

If you happen to be a victim to the horrible scan glitch like I am, then I have found the solution.

Go to settings -> Accessibility -> Button Assignments -> Customize Button Assignments.

Change R2 to R1.

This will let you scan objects.

Double press the PS home button after you’ve scanned. This will bring you back to the button assignments setting, where you can change it back to R2 within 5 seconds so you can continue playing the game normally.

EDIT: just to clarify: You have to go to the playstation’s settings
