Polymers can be (and are) used in Micro-Ring Resonators
After doing a quick google search on "polymer micro-ring resonator", the idea of using polymers in MRR's is already established and successful.

The second I hear that LWLG can apply it’s materials to micro ring resonators to turbocharge performance…I’m going all in.
Ranovus and IBM.
Ayar Labs and Intel.
LWLG might be the biggest whore in photonics.
Using LWLG's Perkinamine Polymers will only improve the performance and stability of MRR's. Who knows...maybe Ayars has "LWLG Inside" on the packaging label.
Here's a small sampling of many links that showed up in the search.
