How do you manage ADHD if you have other medical conditions?

I was diagnosed as an adult and have been on 20-30mg of Adderall Monday through Friday with weekends off for about two weeks now. The issue? Brain slows down (yay!), but heart rate and blood pressure went way up (not so yay). Is there anyone out there that can offer insight into how they managed ADHD medication with other health concerns like hypertension? Bonus points if you manage hypertension AND kidney disease. Thanks!
