This game is embarrassingly bad

I don’t even know where to start. I’m playing on a Series X and genuinely distraught that I paid £60 for this (got a good deal on gold edition).

The basics:

No scoreboard, who the hell thought this was ever a good idea? It is fundamental to pretty much every competitive game that has ever existed. Are the devs really that warped that they didn’t feel it was appropriate?

Movement is so janky, all they literally needed to do was copy paste BFV for this and we’d be fine.

Hit registration is probably the worst I’ve seen in a video game in recent memory. Have they added bloom to shots when ADSing? It feels like I’m going to have more luck throwing my gun at them.

Crossplay, I don’t want to be forced to play with PC players who can easily control recoil on certain weapons all the time.

Map design is just terrible. If anything screams let’s make a BR but just chop it up into maps it’s this game. Don’t get me started on the lack of cover.

Team play is dead. Operators have ruined it. Countless times I’ve been asking to be revived etc. whilst watching Falkes (the primary ‘medic’) is mind boggling.

Operators and removing set classes. I…I just literally can’t even on this. Let’s tear out Battlefield’s heart and hope we can sell some sweet $kins!

The absence of destruction is laughable. Remember when they said we could tear down the entire map sigh.

Weapon balancing feels completely off, especially on console where you’re best equipped to use a sniper or DMR for an acceptable experience.

Spawning, kinda ties in with map design is utter garbage. Just played Breakthrough on Breakaway defending the D site? (Oil platforms) and continually getting killed by enemy tanks camping our spawns.

Rant over. I’d honestly give this a 4/10. With two of those coming from Portal being genuinely the only saving grace of an absolutely atrocious game.
