No, that was Captain Forrest.

. . . which I always took as a veiled reference to Captain Augustus "Duke" Forrest, who was a major character in the novel and movie (played by Tom Skerrit) as part of a trio with Hawkeye and Trapper, but never showed up in the series. . . except possibly that passing reference to a "brain surgeon that fell down a lot" of Captain Forrest.

I never thought it was a veiled reference just another made up name 😏

fortunately I've been informed by radar that Captain Tuttle's G.I. Insurance names Sister Teresa's Orphanage as his sole beneficiary.

how typical.

Radar’s brief, but successful, love interest. Lt. Simmons. It would have been a cute subplot over a few episodes. But such was the state of TV back then.

Aside: Always kinda bugged me just how often they changed nurse actresses, seemingly per episode. With Nurse Kellye being the only one that I remember appearing consistently throughout.

Nurse Shari (short curly dark hair), played by Shari Saba, appeared a number of times in the last few seasons.

But your point is well taken. The nurses are practically used as extras. In fact, I caught Nurse Shari in two places at one time. In "The Moon Is Not Blue" (S11E8), Nurse Shari is in the mess tent watching Sahara (again) with a few others, but in the very next shot, she's in the Officer's Club with a bunch of other folks.

Roy Dupree from the 8063. See? That rhymes.

You bet! That counts.

Radar's imaginary friend, Shirley.

She looks like Radar, only with tiny breasts.

Hawkeye: "OUT!"

Corporal Dice Clay.

Kevin Geer as Jerry Nielson (The Bilford Syndrome)... That guy should get an Emmy for that role.

I don’t remember the character name or the actor, but the episode where a soldier dies and comes back as a ghost and only Klinger can see him. I always liked that character.

I actually liked Todd Susman's on-screen role as Pvt Danny Baker in 'Operation Noselift' and thought he was very funny (shame the episode as a whole is pretty dire).
