Did we ever figure out a phone number solution? Main post still says theyโre working on it in the order instructions. Do we just put ours?

I used my own. It's for the GameStop order so I figured if there was an issue with the order they could call me. You're essentially buying a toy for a kid on your own. None of this connects to Reddit or anything official your donation is yours and yours alone.

That's what I did. I have a Google Voice number that I use when buying products online to avoid spam calls going to my regular phone number.

Hey everyone! Looks like the toys are rolling in by the pallet! (ba dum tss!)
Texas Apes! If you would like to help them sort this influx of toys coming in, you can literally just show up at 3800 Irving Mall 0900-1800 local Texas time Monday-Friday. You'll see a banner. They aren't concerned about help right now, but it might be cool for a couple of you to stop by and tell us what it's like on the ground. We'd love to see! Thank you!

We would also like to be clear about where the toys that will be delivered to the Ft. Worth TFT will be going. This TFT chapter only serves the greater Texas area and so we are looking to branch out destinations for toys to be sent. We need to confirm whether certain chapters are able to receive packages regularly (this is separate from the boxes in the stores, most locations won't be able to provide this mailing thing). Our current goal being to spread the distribution of mailed toys to as many areas of the US as we can. To do this, we would request your help in contacting your local TFT to see if they can receive mail. If they are able, please contact one of the VGH committee members with the address information to update the post.
If you are able to help, that would be greatly appreciated! We felt that it was still wise to send the toys somewhere because this still greatly benefits GameStop no matter where we send the toys and this Texas location does serve an enormous area with millions of kids. Hope that answers your question!

Why not just get them shipped directly to the places they're going to and let GameStop staff do the packaging work?

Because toys for tots already have the infrastructure and logistics for this plus they know where these gifts are needed the most, and demographics. If hospitals/shelters/whatever started receiving a pallet full of toys, who knows where theyโd end up.

You can do that too. Contact your local charity and see where you can send toys. Great idea!
