Question about eSIM supported mobile networks

Opinions/advice needed

So I’m getting my hands on a cellular Apple Watch at some stage before Christmas. My current data provider, Boost, doesn’t support eSIMS, so I need to change.

I’ve narrowed the options down to Optus and Vodafone since Telstra is way too expensive in comparison.

Does anyone here have any experience with these two networks? How do Optus and Vodafone compare? I live in metro Melbourne and rarely venture outside of it.

Thanks!

Voda is fine. They also support visual voicemail which IIRC Optus doesn’t. Key feature for Apple people.

I actually run dual sims, Voda and Telstra. I actually find I’m getting better metro coverage on Voda.

Visual voicemail definitely supported by Optus has been for years

Thanks for the reply! I also read that Optus doesn’t support it, but couldn’t find an answer on Vodafone’s site.

I have my Apple Watch esim with Optus and no issues. I love going for a run without my phone and able to stream my Apple Music/Podcasts, use maps if I need to etc. The Activation process was seamless straight out the box as well.
