Wait, what???
I was listening to the most recent episode on the death of King Edward while working out this morning in my garage gym. Jamie spent a long time discussing why the poems in the Poetic Edwardia tell a different story than the prose, when I had to get on the floor to do some crunches. Since Jamie was on the same topic for awhile, I didn't pause my podcast while I turned on the shop vac and cleaned up some leaves that had blown in that were on my mats, which unfortunately meant I couldn't hear the next bit.
I turn off the shopvac to hear:
"Tostig dismembered all his brother’s servants, and put a human leg, head, or arm into each vessel for wine, mead, ale, spiced wine, morat, and cider."
I think I got whiplash from how fast I turned at that to rewind and relisten. How quickly the show transitions from the minutiae of the poetic edwardia to cannibalism! :) :) :)
TLDR: Today I learned to always, always, pause the British History Podcast when doing something noisy so you don't miss a vital piece of information.
