we have reached the wojack stage of the discourse, Allah let this end
Soyest thing you could've posted OP
I'm not a fan of micro, however I still want more options when it comes to how and where battles are fought during war, the three we have now are...not enough in my opinion.
Mfw I’ll never be able to have a micro 1v2 war in multiplayer why even live
The wojack Memes have arrived, the sub had a good run tho GGs
A war game must focus on war. A geopolitics and economics game must not focus on war.
Paradox games are different, they all share a map but not the mechanics. Your argument is the same as saying that EU4 bad because you cant rp your character as in CK3. They are different games with absolutely different foci.
Or, more in context, HOI4 does not present its economy and industries as in Victoria because, again, its a war game, not an economics game. Economy, in hoi, is a detail, not the focus.

I never got the ''let the ai do the work'' complaint. Hoi3 has literally the same mechanic except not implemented as well
Hi Mememaker13. Your submission has been removed from r/victoria3 because:

HOI4 is literally a 9 year long period game focused around a single global war, how the fuck can you compare the 2 you fucking brainlet?
Literally play another game if you don't like it, it's not supposed to be a micro-intensive wargame.
The irony of using Rule 5 while ignoring Rule 2.
And also, Victoria game series aren't the same as Hearts of Iron.
Even if this was a fair comparison, I like both. The latest DD makes it pretty clear how last resort and I guess foolish war can be considering the economic/human toll
The comparison just dosn't fit. Hoi4 puts a focus on war, Vic3 on Economics and Society.

I’m still sad my favorite part of Victoria 2 won’t be in Victoria 3
and you can’t even complain without being downvoted by the horde
Truth. I’m still not sure why everyone gets pissy if you voice your opinion on the game.
"yes"

There's a difference between how a war game and an economics/diplo game should do war lol
No. A racing car and a bus need to be compared! Both drive on the road so you got the same basis. Punk!
No. A strip of asphalt and a monkey need to be compared! Both exist, so you get the same basis.
I’m not complaining about them not making war a top priority. What they should have done is just take the fundamental war system from Vicky 2/eu4 and add some QOL improvements to reduce micromanagement. Instead they went out of their way to create an entirely new system (which they’ll need to spend time and effort on balancing) JUST to make it simpler. In other words, they actively spent money and time on making war less engaging.
edit: getting downvoted for explaining myself? It’s sad to see how much of a hive mind this subreddit has become
