Most of them are borderline autistic, I swear. Can't go around speaking metaphorically and using simbolism without them interpreting what you say as literal. You can't go speaking about America and Russia and call them both contenders for the title of 3rd Rome with the winner being the one that doesn't get "sacked" (comparing this to the sacking of Rome and its fall) without some dude writing a historical thesis on how Moscow got invaded during the Mongol invasion or some shit. You can't use any analogies or "strawmen" as these fools with a vocabulary as constricted as the rope around a man's throat call them without someone strictly operating on the strawman or the analogy and completely ignoring the message itself

People that use analogies and "strawmen" are most-often idiots who don't understand nuances of real life. Ironically, when you tell them that their analogy doesn't fit the facts and is simply false, they instead think that you just didn't understand their stupid analogy and get angry.

An analogy isn't meant to be realistically correct if you're reffering to the analogy itself and not what it's trying to say. That's like asking "what fucking horse" to someone saying that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

It isn't and that is why most don't take them seriously. And yeah, your analogy with the idiom is another instance of a false analogy. Idioms make your speech more refined. Analogies betray either a child who knows nothing, or a person who insists on talking with others like they are children, who are too stupid for nuances and new ideas and need "analogies". Analogies suck, man.
