SerpClix Guide - Finding Difficult Searches & Other Tips
Let's talk SerpClix
A site where you get search terms, find the highlighted links and make some cash while helping companies and individuals with search engine optimization. You earn 5-10 cents per click. The top earners are bringing in $200+ monthly. My monthly average has been $170. Here is a guide on how to maximize your efficiency and earnings
β
Browser: Firefox vs Edge
You'll probably want a dedicated browser that is not logged into a google account. And you might need to switch browsers if you aren't having success. Some people find that they get search orders on one browser but not the other. Make sure to turn on the bell for notifications. The extension tends to work better in an active window but you might be fine minimizing the window like I do. If you don't seem to be getting many notifications you can check in every 30 minutes and refresh the order page to see if your extension is going to sleep. Recently some people have had issues with the clock counting down slowly on Edge, and I have had some issues with map searches getting redirection notifications on Firefox that lead to not getting credit. Consider all these factors when determining which browser to use.
β
The Search Basics
After you click on a search term from your order list it will automatically be copied into your clipboard. Control + V is the fastest and best way to search for keywords. Capitalization on keywords matters! But if you are doing Control + V you won't need to worry about this. Be sure to change your google settings to show 100 searches per page. Some people also like to change their zoom to 50%-90% for faster scrolling. The extension will say "Go" when you are on the right page and near the correct link. From there all you need to do is click the highlighted link. Once the clock is counting down you can minimize the page and do other things while you wait.
β
Advanced Search Strategy
First check in all results included the omitted searches. Next check images, then check videos and lastly check news. Make sure to check the omitted searches in each as well. If its a map search it will always tell you this. If you can't find the result and its not in omitted searches then it is time to use the tools feature. Using tools allows you to manipulate search results by things like date, size or source. I also sometimes have to select verbatim. You'll be able to find many difficult searches using tools and once you figure out how to find them make note of it. Search orders are often repeated so putting in the effort once can lead to additional profit in the future. When searching images I look on the right hand side for a row that looks indented. The highlighted box tends to change the width of the rows so this indent often indicates where the correct URL is. If you have taken too long to find a search, go back to the order list and refresh. You don't want to take too long from the time you enter the keywords to the time you click on the highlighted link.
β
Map Searches
Map searches are usually the trickiest to find. They are the search type that frequently has incorrect URLs or non-highlighted links. There may be several highlighted links for a single map search. And some of these might contain the wrong link. Some chain companies have slightly different links for various cities or locations. If you can't find the highlighted link, look at the piece of the URL it gives you. Often the name of the company is in the URL. This might allow you to guess which link should be highlighted and lead to you getting credit.
β
Don't Remove Searches
I don't remove searches and I don't recommend doing so. You can go back to the order page and refresh to try a new search instead. If you do remove a search it may or may not come back. It depends how the order was set up and if future orders are made. I like to give my self an additional opportunity to find difficult searches in the future for several reasons. The order maker can adjust orders to correct things like a wrong URL. And sometimes users place orders too early before a page is ranked by their keywords. The only two reasons I can think of to remove searches is if the notification is bothering you or if you are getting so many search orders that you are worried about not having room for new ones.
β
Time Patterns
There appears to be patterns to order arrivals. Though this pattern could change when server reset, go down, or there is maintenance. I frequently get a large batch sometime between 10pm PT and 1am PT. Orders and batches will frequently appear at 1 minute past the hour, 17 minutes past the hour, 23 minutes past the hour and 33 minutes past the hour. Some will also appear at ~10 minutes before a new hour. Orders last 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. They used to last 1 hour and 45 minutes.
β
Search Order
When you open SerpClix and see a large batch of orders but have no idea how long they've been there you should approach this with a plan! Since orders will eventually disappear you should either go fast or do the oldest orders first. Knocking off direct links and recognizable easy searches first would be the go fast strategy. But what I typically do is try to knock off the oldest searches first by alternating between the bottom and the top of the list. New orders typically come in at the bottom, but they can also come in at the top. Ill do a few searches from the bottom, one from the top and repeat. This leaves the middle orders for last, which will have a better chance of being more recent. You can only have up to 10 search requests at once. I recommend doing them as soon as you are able to
β
Conclusion
I hope this guide helps to boost your earnings. Ultimately at the end of the day your location will have the greatest impact on your earnings. But if you focus on the things you can control like your screen time, strategy and search techniques you should be able to improve your results. I hope you all get many search orders and earn many dimes! Happy clicking.
