Calling an ambulance for dumb stuff makes you a horrible person.

Working for a rural county EMS system, we’re limited on the amount of ambulances we have available and have to try to keep spaced out to lower response times. It never fails that like 90% of my calls are flu-like symptom or behavioral stuff that could easily go in a personal vehicle. Instead we’re called out to act like a taxi service to people who live on welfare and thus never pay a bill. The amount of times I’ve taken someone in just to walk them inside and sit them down in the lobby is ridiculously high, meanwhile someone else in my call area is literally dying on the side of the road waiting 30 minutes for the next closest ambulance to get there.

All that to say if you really call for an ambulance to taxi you for something easily handled in your own vehicle or doesn’t need prehospital care that would decrease mortality or increase a positive outcome scenario, you’re causing harm to others who actually need the service and wasting valuable resources.
