Weird Tourist Attractions - Help!

I'm planning a little roadtrip around the North Island at some point and want to see how many weird, lesser known tourist attractions I can visit. I'm thinking things like the Te Awamutu Space Museum or the National Timber Museum. If you have any suggestions for my list I'd really appreciate them. Thanks!
