Irregularly shifting tone in left ear - Tinnitus?

I can't recall when I first noticed it, must be a week ago or two abouts. It's faint but clearly noticeable. It's like a signal that's shifting between being either 1600 or 2000 hz (roughly. No generator could portray it accurately.), mostly staying at the low pitch but sometimes switching over to the high one. Hard to illustrate, but like this:

__-_____--_--______-_-___---____-____

I'm 33 and I've always been super careful with my hearing. Always ear protection when operating loud machines, almost never excessively loud music, never been near firearms that have been shot etc.

Pretty sure I have hyperacusis. My left ear particularly likes to rumble when I listen to speech in youtube videos or if I touch my left cheek or yawn etc.

But this constant tone thing is new to me. I've looked around on google but there has been no mention of shifting tones like this. Anyone here have (or know someone who has) something like this, or am I just picking up some alien 5G signal here?

Thanks.
