Riot client is a piece of shit
That's it. it's just trash. Tab out of game and can't even use any of my desktop. If i dont wave my mouse around while logging into my game it fucks my pc and kills my cursor.

Just tab over to different software, like discord, blitz or your browser while opening the game. It’ll solve the mouse problem.
It doesn't for me. I have to open task manager and navigate it with my arrow keys down to the valorant exe and force close it
I have same cursor issue. Super annoying.
Same with the cursor issue, if I forgot to move my cursor I was like "Oh fuck, now I need to restart it again"
Out of curiosity do you use GHUB? I fixed my cursor killer, turned out to be GHUB running/in my tray. Switched keyboard and mouse to on board memory mode so I still have my profiles so no need to have GHUB running in my tray.
How do I switch to on board memory? Software is kinda confusing to me
So to put it on on-board memory mode you click on the device, then the settings icon in the top right corner. Once you do that, click where it says on-board memory mode “off”. This will turn it on. Then you have to set a slot to your custom profile that you want, I just changed it to my default because I use the same dpi on everything
Like Logitech g hub? I actually do for my racing game setup.I might try that
Yes, GHUB fucks with valorant client for whatever reason
I thought this was just a me problem, and kind of just forget about it and got used to moving my mouse everytime i open the game, but apparently theres a few people that are having the same problem. Does anyone know the fix on this? I have reinstalled the game but it doesnt help
Idk if you have Logitech G Hub but if you have that in the background when you launch your game it will kill the cursor. You need to LGH closed before or during launch to fix it.
I never had this issue, but seeing that multiple other people are complaining about it, it seems to be actually pretty widespread. Perhaps if we make a big enough deal of it, Riot will notice and actually fix their client.
On a more practical side, something you can do is read the replies and find the best solution. That way, it'll save you time and energy to do the least amount of work for a solution, every time you start up Valorant.
u/Sol_J you forgot many points, like : Update size is not shown, only an estimate of how long it could be that's even less precise than microsoft guesstimate 20 years ago
The impossibiliy to limit bandwidth, meaning, when an update occurs, you can't even browse reddit without it lagging worse than a 56kbps dialup modem, either cancel the update if yo want to be entertained or go f**k yourself and just scratch your balls, and good luck if your update slows down to 0.1 kpbs before it even reached 50%
And my last point, already approached in the previous point, updates randomly going from 70 Mbps to 0.1 Kbps just for fun, even at late hours when almost nobody is playing, in the middle of the week...
F**k Riot, i already gave up on LoL, now i'm uninstalling this already disappointing game after a couple weeks and not even 10 hours played...The only thing their shit is good at is stealing personal infos through their worthless anti cheat to fatten up their customer datas to sell out, otherwise, its just a piece of shit, period. They should have stuck to LoL instead of releasing half a dozen poorly copied from trendy ones, uninteresting and badly made games...Fuck Riot, Fuck the chinese government who no doubt copies every scrap of data tencent steals, and fuck the videogame big names as a whole cause they're all becoming a huge pile of rotten diarrhea
Try not to keep your head up brother, Riot Support thats 45345342 years to respond, and these crashes happen on league too, even with the the most decked out pc you can find. It is Riots fault, and they dont really do anything to address this.
go to fullscreen not windowed mode
Happens with fullscreen too for me
