95 Ford Explorer, Frt Drvr window won't come back up. Details inside. Help!

95 Ford explorer limited. Front drivers side window went down, but will not come back up. Fuses good, voltage to connector the motor is wired too. I pulled apart everything, and when you operate the up and down switch, I hear a click at the motor, and one at the footboard by the pedals (odd, since relays are in the engine bay?) I don't think it's stuck, because I hear nothing mechanical, except that click. I've unbolted what I thought was the motor, but that didn't move. I've banged the door around and wiggled all the linkages, and nothing moves. help! Even if you know how to unhook the window so at least it will go UP!!!! It seems that the motor is attached to a gear bracket that is riveted on the door... :-/ Should I just unbolt everything I see?
