So I've noticed a lot of posts recently concerning jail/prisons/offenders, but haven't seen really anything from the "boss" side of things. There's certainly a TON of BS in this field, but it's not all evil and abuse. There's alot of good people in corrections, on BOTH sides, who do the best they can given the conditions.

I started working in the jail of a major city in Texas, then county jail, now I'm a CO in a maximum security unit. I will answer almost anything, but will not compromise security. I don't know what I can present as proof without posting pictures (and I won't for both security and anonymity) other than knowledge. I wish to remain anonymous for various reasons and will not disclose the unit I work for, or the city/county jails I've worked in.

I have no pretense to sugar coat anything. AMAA.
