Nikon Coolscan V ED...anyone used it?

The scanned file sizes are 70.8mb...and it's taking much too long. I would still like tiff but not have the files scanned so large. Also, is there a way to have it scan each frame, so I don't need to keep clicking to tell it to go to the next one?
