Best/favourite places to farm humanity?

I recently ran out of humanity, (absolutely none left) and as a result, I have been forced to start farming the item.

I am currently farming humanity from the two groups of rats near the bonfire in the depths. I have the covetous gold serpent ring and the symbol of avarice equipped. Each run usually gets me one humanity, sometimes two.

Anyways, what I am asking is: does anyone know of any better places to farm humanity, or does anyone have a favourite place to farm humanity?
