Hybrid/Iron Set for Beginner?

I'm a beginner to playing golf, but not to the game of golf, I have been a fan of golf since I was a kid and used to have clubs that I would use at the driving range but never really got out on the course because I was never that serious in learning and so I never developed a consistent shot. I'd like to give it another go, more seriously this time, since I have friends and family that are weekly golfers and I'd like to be able to join them on the weekends.

Is this TaylorMade Burner 2.0 HP Hybrid/Iron Set a good beginner set? I see/read that lots of people are using hybrid #3-#4 because they're easier to hit and more forgiving, this set is also available in a straight iron set #4-AW.
