Going to UCR this fall for Biochemistry, tell me what I should know!

Well, initially I planned to go to UC Irvine because of their pharmaceutical sciences major, but I got rejected, so as for now I will be attending UCR for the Fall 2012-13 year, with hopes of transferring into Pharm Sci, but I was curious about UCR what can my fellow redditors tell me about the housing, biochem staff, food, the social scene, anything!
