Ended up with an unexpected houseguest today. As a bonus, puppy heterochromia!

Imgur She's the one on the left. About 2 months ago, a friend's b/f found her wandering the streets around 2 in the morning. I ended up paying for the initial vet visit, and they decided they wanted to keep her. Several weeks later, they told me they were giving her to a friend of theirs. (No, I wasn't happy about it, and I'd wanted to get her into a rescue from the start).

Today, she showed up on my friend's street, with scabbed over and fresh puncture wounds. She has also grown more timid and prone to cowering at people. She got two staples in her leg for the deeper punctures, flea/heartworm meds, and she'll be on antibiotics for the next two weeks. For all that she's been through some crap for being only 6 months old, she's still incredibly sweet and wants to cuddle (right before she submissively urinates).

Fortunately, my roommate's dog doesn't need her crate, and roomie is okay with the puppy staying until I can find her a home or a spot in a good rescue. Also, if anyone's got clever ideas for a name, I'm game. They've been calling her Coco, but I tend to prefer slightly more imaginative names.
