[MASS EFFECT SPOILERS] I know we're all yelling about the ending, but why hasn't anyone pointed out that the entirety of the writing is shit?

I'm not even at the ending yet, but I'm underwhelmed with the entire god damn thing, story- and writing-wise. Who thought this shit was good? The mission with Tali on the Geth ship... This "operations center" can't be used we need to get to the "core." Is this fucking Star Trek? They just slopped a bunch of pseudo-sci fi dialogue down and banked on everyone's investment in the story.

Miranda places a tracer on Kai Leng? That's the most tired fucking plot device in science fiction. And you're telling me I just HAPPEN to run into a former crew mate literally every god damn where I go? Why is everyone pissed about the ending when the entire story is the worst writing BioWare has ever put out?

I'm don't think BioWare needs to do anything to fix it, I don't give a shit about this mob out for fanservice... because I think this is indicative of their new direction. They want to reach a wider audience and in doing so they're not going to meet the high standard of story and immersion they've put forth for themselves over the course of the company's history. And that's fine, I'm sure someone made a calculated decision that said a wider audience was worth more than the pissed of members of their core audience, but still... Worst writing ever, BioWare.
