Where should I look to buy a turntable from?

Right now I use my parents old one whenever I'm home but I'm interested in buying my own. I've been looking on eBay, where the average price is around 65 bucks for one it seems. I'm just wondering, since I'm not terribly experienced with vinyl retail, if anyone knows what I should look to pay, what brands I should look at and if there are any tricks to getting a good turntable on the cheap.
