Quick wheelie question for rideit

Alright so ive watched quite a few wheelie instruction videos on youtube. Ive only had the balls to try a power up wheelie (im on a 950cc bike) and because my revs only go up to 9k i feel like my clutch up point would be different than these stunt riders with rice rockets that go up to like 14k revs. Can anyone explain to me how clutch up wheelies are more safe than power ups? I was just wondering. And if anyone has a buell lightning and wants to give me some tips thatd be awesome too!
