A bunch of friends and I are turning 30 this year, we want to do a Road trip for a long weekend, what do you reccomend?

We live in Chihuahua, Mexico. Just 200 or so miles from El Paso, Texas.
I was thinking that a roadtrip through Arizona and New Mexico could be cool, we'd have 4 days max for the trip, but we want to make this memorable.
I was thinking in visiting the Grand Canyon, maybe do a little rafting there, visit the airplane cemetery and who knows what else.
We'd want to party as well, but not clubs per se, something more local, who knows maybe there's a chili festival or there's a certain place where the 4th of july has the best party ever.
Please help.
