Is trimming your nose hair good/bad?

Every now and then my nose hair gets too long and I am forced to trim it. Problem is when I trim it its always really short and pokes the other sides inside my nose. This also makes me sneeze more too.

I know nose hair helps by keeping pollen out, but is it bad to trim it all short? Or do you just cut the long ones as they appear?
I am being super serial...
