More success with Match.com vs OkCupid?
So far I have had little success with either one [24/M/Boston]. I guess I'm curious to hear from people that have tried both, and which experience ended up working better or worse. If you actually want to read about my experience, then keep reading, or just answer. Thanks!
I had OkCupid for a very short period of time, because I was moving across the country and figured it would be a fun way to meet people once here. Over the course of the week I was driving cross country I had a few girls agree to dates, then when it came to the logistics of setting up the date they quit messaging or deleted their accounts for the most part. I started meeting people here anyways so I deleted the account. I decided after living here for a while to give Match.com a try thinking people would be more serious/less flaky about meeting up. So I've had similarly bad results. I've e-mailed probably 50 people, and had 3 people respond, 1 agreeing to a date and then just stopped contact. I understand that women get barraged with e-mails from guys, but that's kind of ridiculous to me. Hell, even the people that favorite me or wink at me don't respond. I don't have any red flags on my profile, am an attractive person, am on route to a very good career (in grad school), don't overuse emoticons or weird shit... What gives man? Oh, I've been on Match just over a month now, and signed up for another 3 months because they roped me in with 3 for the price of 1.
