What are some simple tips for non-marketers when promoting a web service?

My business partner and I have made a simple web service, qrb.ca, aimed at small businesses to accentuate their print material. We're looking for ideas to get it off the ground, having little money to throw at professional marketing services. Do you have any simple tips for two hardcore geeks who are clearly not marketing types?

We collectively have 200 dollars in google ad words to throw at it, but we found that because the idea is somewhat novel, nobody is really searching for this type of service. I guess we should also think if the idea is actually valid, or something that people might be interested in.
