I have some questions, help please?

Ok, so my friends and I argue over weather or not i can play Curiosity on his monster so when it attacks and i draw a card. Is that how that would work or would he draw the card? Same question regarding Favor of the Woods, (whenever enchanted creature blocks you gain 3 life) if played on an opponents creature do i gain life? or does he?
