Who killed me?

I was travelling down a huge highway with some Sredasurc who gave me equipment, I was heading in the opposite direction when a group of about 10 of you, all in diamond armour went past, one of you lashed out and killed me in 3 hits, before I could respond. I was wearing diamond helmet and boots and an iron chestplate.
