Weird freezes happening in windows.

I'm not sure where else to post this, so sorry if I'm in the wrong subreddit.

Lately I've been struggling with my computer freezing in Windows, for a period between 5 seconds to 2 full minutes. Well, it doesn't exactly freeze, I can move my mouse etc, but the computer doesn't respond to what I do and click.

Before this started I experienced in Battlefield 3 that my mouse sometimes would stop responding in-game, even later I would FPS lag like I never have done before. Dropping to 1 FPS for full 10-15 seconds. When I bought the game in November I would run at 60 FPS smoothly, today after updating my drivers I barely have 25 FPS at average.

The FPS issue just started happening today after installing the newest AMD drivers, the freezing and stuttering has been happening for a week or so. I'm not sure what to do. :(
