Smoother tires for a MTB?

I decided to recently get into bicycling, I purchased a Specialized Hardrock because I decided that a mountain bike would give me more versatility especially since my town is not the most bicycle friendly and many roads have more gravel shoulder than bicycle lane. However I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for tires that will provide a smoother ride, I would say 95% of my day to day cycling is on paved roads (the 5% on lose gravel for no more than a minute or two at a time).

According to the specs online my current tires are Specialized Fast Trak LK Sport, 60 TPI, wire bead, 26x2.0" and my rims are Alex HR Disc 26", alloy double-wall, disc, pin joint, 24mm, 32h.
