Give me 40 days to boost my GPA.

Alright Reddit, I'm not that great of a story-teller, so I'll try not to blabber on too much. Last June I graduated highschool and my grades aren't exactly something I'm proud of: I'd say half my classes were A's and B's, and the other half were C's. (In my part of Canada, C is the lowest you can get before you fail.)

In my senior year, especially, I bombed three out of four classes in one semester, and though the classes I failed were mostly trivial electives, I still feel like it's a terrible mark on my record and I know I'm capable of so much more. Two months ago I started taking four senior-level highschool classes online: English, English Literature, History, and Law. I've never done so great in core academics, because of my lazy habits, but I want to complete these as soon as possible so I can maybe apply to a college for the Fall semester this year.

I've always been told I'm an incredibly intelligent person but that my laziness and lack of motivation has held me back. I'm sick of that happening. So, within the next forty days, I'm going to not only finish, but ace every single one of these courses. All my friends have moved out of town, I've the luxury of living at home for free. I have nothing but free time. I know I can do this.

By May 3rd, I will have redeemed myself for every poor decision I made in highschool. You have my word.
