Advise on places to see and eat?

Hey R/Chicago. This August me and my friends are taking a road trip again from New York to Chicago for Lollapalooza. Last time we went, we didn't a whole lot of time to really explore the city besides going to the Sears tower. What are some must see places we should see before we leave?
